Compassion Australia has over 130 staff members,
most of whom work at our head office at Warabrook, NSW. Compassion also
has
regional offices in Perth, WA; Sunshine
Coast, QLD; Sydney, NSW; and Melbourne, VIC.
The Compassion Australia executive leadership team
comprises Chief Executive Officer: Paul O’Rourke, Chief Operating
Officer: Jeff Nagle, Executive Director of Child Development:

Paul O’Rourke
Compassion Australia’s Chief Executive Officer,
Paul O’Rourke, describes himself as a passionate advocate for children.
Motivated by Proverbs 31:8 to speak up for those
who cannot speak for themselves, Paul’s mission is to challenge the
Australian church to release children from spiritual, economic, social,
physical and emotional poverty in Jesus’ name.
“One day we are all going to stand before the
Lord and He will ask us what we did for the abused, neglected, exploited
and hurting children of our world, both at home and abroad,” says Paul.
Paul joined Compassion Australia in November
1998 as Communications Manager, was later appointed Chief Operating
Officer, and in 2001 became CEO. Prior to joining Compassion, Paul had
extensive leadership experience in the print media as an editor-in-chief
of daily and suburban newspapers in both NSW and Queensland.
He uses his leadership, speaking and writing
skills to raise awareness of the needs of children, highlighting their
special place in God’s heart, and
challenging Christians to put their faith into action.
